An opportunity exists for a professional, driven and passionate individual to join the Applied Medical team as the Employee Relations Manager ANZ. Available for FT, PT or School based hours applicants with option of a hybrid remote status. Interviews will commence mid to late January.

About This Role


As the Employee Relations Manager ANZ, based in the Australian headquarters in Brisbane, you are responsible for supporting the growing Australian and New Zealand business in the sound implementation and management of HR strategy, policies, practices and activities that are consistent with Applied Medical’s strategic and operational direction and goals. The purpose of the position is to provide a wide range of company initiatives with the key focus on developing and supporting team members to enable growth and change as well as designing and delivering a range of initiatives and projects aimed at developing best business practices across a rapidly growing organisation. Our ANZ group is currently 85+ strong and growing every year as we continue to expand as a successful organisation. This role will assist in the shaping of our organisation as it grows into a medium/large team base in the future.


Applicants for this role with availability of Full-time, Part-Time or School based will be considered including the option of negotiating a hybrid remote status.



  1. Strategic oversight and consultation in planning of organisational growth
  2. Change Management, including providing insight and advice for improvement through identifying key ER risks, opportunities, and challenges
  3. Attraction, Recruitment and Retention of new and existing team members
  4. Support of Remunerations and Benefits practices
  5. Development of improved Employee Relations capability
  6. Performance Management and Review
  7. Keeping abreast of and ensuring compliance to relevant legislative and employment laws
  8. Ensuring that all team member activities are in accordance with the guidelines of Applied Medical’s Code of Conduct
  9. Representing the organisation as required with legislative and ER relevant organisations inc. Fair Work, Equal Opportunity, WHS and other bodies
  10. Maintaining records and other relevant material
  11. Keeping abreast of changes to relevant workplace relations legislation decisions and changes


The successful applicant will report to the VP, Finance and Operations ANZ in an integral role in supporting our people and proactively developing and managing a positive outcome for our organisation in alignment with Applied Medical’s mission and values.


 About You


You are forward thinking professional who has demonstrated experiencing working with a growing organisation. You are a confident communicator with a strong working knowledge in employment legislation, and guidance and coaching of collaborative business units to ensure sound HR practices. Prior experience leading ER issues and change initiatives is strongly favoured.


You Have

  • Broad experience in delivering sustainable change.
  • Strong working knowledge of Australian and New Zealand Fair Work and employment law issues and the ability to apply these to a variety of situations using a common-sense approach
  • Ability to support others on matters from people issues to personal development
  • Experience in the end to end talent management process, from planning to supporting the business in hiring talent, on-boarding, and supporting the construction and implementation of development plans and initiatives.
  • A degree in Human Resources or other relevant qualifications,
  • Demonstrated experience in general people/HR support, guidance and coaching
  • Energy and enthusiasm.
