About this role:

 

 

As a Clinical Education Specialist (CES) you are responsible for developing and facilitating educational and training courses and programs for surgeons and surgical trainees, which support us in making a meaningful and positive difference in healthcare.  The CES is responsible for: 

 

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key surgeons and training boards across a broad range of specialties.
  • Understanding the evolving needs of surgical training and new procedures
  • Identifying and developing surgeons who, based on our technologies, business model and company mission, will advocate and proctor for Applied Medical.
  • Implementing educational programs focussed on enhancing healthcare outcomes utilising our breakthrough technologies. This encompasses all steps from developing, planning and facilitating courses/programs through to ensuring effective and frequent adoption within the operating theatre.
  • Gaining commitment to implement healthcare programs and ensuring this leads to an uptake of our clinical solutions.
  • Communicating effectively to achieve quarterly and annual adoption objectives in alignment with the national sales strategy.
  • Applying your extensive clinical knowledge in a consultative manner to enhance learning, adoption and patient outcomes.
  • Managing all education events, including logistics for the regions. 

 

If successful, the Area Business Manager for the Central Area will invite you to join a team of inspiring and collaborative individuals.  Following our industry leading onboarding program, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key surgeons and educators within public and private hospitals across New South Wales.  Working with these surgeons, you will aim to develop and deliver clinical education courses and programs to benefit patients, our customers and align with the Applied Medical values and grow the business.

About you:

 

You are currently working in healthcare training/education, medical device sales and/or have operating theatre experience.  You have:

  • Proven success in medical device sales, clinical training and/or simulation or an operating theatre-based role
  • A practical knowledge of the healthcare space, particularly surgical training pathways
  • Strong clinical knowledge and ideally technical experience within an operating theatre environment
  • A high level of interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to positively engage and build rapport with surgeons, other healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders
  • Strong business acumen and organisational skills to enable seamless event planning and implementation
  • The proven ability to develop and execute a focused quarterly plan specific to expectations
  • Curiosity to learn and the ability to retain and articulate complex clinical information
  • Demonstrated record for driving and exceeding both company and personal goals
  • Bachelor qualification preferred
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Flexibility to travel as required
